The ability to efficiently and effectively round on patients and staff has been demonstrated empirically to lead to improvements in patient engagement and patient safety—when that feedback is gathered and used effectively.

For many years, TruthPoint has been perfecting the process of combining technology and people to gather, assess and leverage inputs from patients and staff in a wide range of care settings. We’ve always enjoyed high levels of satisfaction and positive word-of-mouth from our clients. Recently, we were recognized by an independent third-party research organization – KLAS research – which recently completed an assessment of all major rounding automation companies, finding that TruthPoint was the highest rated organization for overall client satisfaction.

KLAS’ process begins with identifying healthcare professionals and payers to share their experiences with the solutions they use. KLAS then compiles and quality checks that data from all evaluations, analyzes the data to identify key trends and insights, and then issues a report on those findings.

PatientEngagementHIT recently reported on the results of KLAS’ research on patient rounding tools as follows: “Raw data showed that TruthPoint scored the highest with a score of 93.4.”

The report went on to indicate that significant percentage of healthcare organizations—91 percent—use automated rounding solutions to help nursing staff deliver a better patient experience. Other types of rounding are also becoming popular: 59 percent use automated tools for administrator rounding with employees, 58 percent for leadership rounding with patients and 42 percent for staff rounding with patient families. Their efforts are paying off.

Using this technology has improved patient satisfaction scores for 59 percent of organizations.

The biggest benefits that healthcare organizations point to from their automated rounding efforts include immediate feedback and opportunity for recovery, accountability and compliance benefits. Better collaboration, staff incentive and motivation and reinforcement of rounding programs were identified as providing moderate benefit.

It’s gratifying to see the industry begin to realize the big benefits that can come from automated rounding! We’re proud of our solutions and we’re proud of the many case studies we have demonstrating how our clients have used our tools to make significant differences in patient satisfaction outcomes.
